Will Bertellotti

Communications Coordinator
(503) 224-4011 ext. 205
Will joined OLCV’s team in the summer of 2022 as the Communications Coordinator. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Will moved to Oregon to attend Willamette University in Salem, graduating in 2022 with a B.A. in English Literature & Creative Writing. At college and throughout the sociopolitical upheaval of 2020, Will grew increasingly interested in journalism – an interest they pursued by covering news in Portland’s nonprofit sphere as an intern at Society Page and by joining Willamette’s student newspaper “The Collegian” as a contributing Opinions writer. Youth climate activists inspired Will to be vocal in the fight against climate change in high school, but it wasn’t until they left the desert and became surrounded by Oregon’s gorgeous wilderness and greenery that Will became involved in the environmental movement. Will loves adventuring into natural areas – whether that be a hike in the hills, a swim in the river, or an exploration of local park – and is driven by their passion for writing to communicate with Oregonians about the most pressing environmental issues in our state and why it is vital to act on them. Outside of work, you can find Will biking around town on partly cloudy days, relaxing with their partner’s cat Ghost, and obsessing over Pokémon games, usually with a pair of earbuds in listening to albums by their favorite musical artists in-full.
