Let’s get the American Jobs Plan over the finish line

In Climate Change by OLCVstaff

Last Friday, we hosted a Virtual Town Hall with Senator Ron Wyden to learn more about the American Jobs Plan and how we can support the Senator’s work to pass this landmark proposal, which would put millions to work in new good-paying jobs in the clean energy economy, while also tackling climate change and environmental racism. If you weren’t able to join us, you can view the town hall in its entirety on our Facebook page. Or, if you don’t have Facebook, you can watch it on YouTube here.

As a supporter of our work you know that it’s way past time for Congress to act on climate. The American Jobs Plan presents us with a unique opportunity to do just that, and to do so in a way that centers clean energy, jobs, and environmental justice.

Help us move this landmark proposal forward by emailing Senators Wyden and Merkley and your U.S. Representative to show support for the American Jobs Plan. Let’s make this proposal a reality, and realize a clean energy future that will protect a stable climate for future generations.

Oregon is fortunate to have incredible climate leaders—Senators Wyden and Merkley, and U.S. Representatives DeFazio, Blumenauer, and Bonamici—representing us in Washington D.C. With their leadership and your help we can pass transformational investments to build back better now and for the future. We will put millions of people to work in good-paying clean energy jobs, protect our climate for future generations, and prioritize the just and equitable solutions led by communities most harmed by toxic pollution—low-income and communities of color.

Thank you in advance for helping spread the word about the American Jobs Plan.
