Britney joined OLCV in February 2020 during endorsement season and just as the short session was coming to a close. She spent the last year working as a bank teller in Seattle, but has a background in nonprofit environmental advocacy. Britney graduated from University of Oregon in 2014 with a B.S. in Environmental Studies. In college she learned about climate change for the first time, and decided to seek a career spreading knowledge and awareness of environmental issues and the social impacts attached to them. Her first job out of college was as a community organizer with Clean Water Action near her home in the Bay Area, CA. She then moved to Portland where she began canvassing on behalf of Environment Oregon in 2015. She has worked on campaigns from protecting Crater Lake to saving the bees to banning polystyrene to closing loopholes in the Clean Water Act to solar energy incentives. During her final summer at Environment Oregon, Britney’s campaign office was the highest grossing in the country within their organization. After a short break from nonprofits, Britney is back pursuing her passion to protect our environment. Some of Britney’s favorite things include Miyazaki films, The Office, Spongebob, Harry Potter, coloring, and exploring Oregon with her partner and dog!
