What is my role as a house party host?
As a house party host, you are expected to:
- Create a list of friends, family, and neighbors to invite. Plan on inviting three to four times the number of guests you hope to have attend. That means if you’d like 25 guests to attend the party, you should plan on inviting 75-100 people
- Choose a location for the event (i.e., at your home, a friend’s home, your office?)
- Choose a format for the party (i.e., backyard BBQ, dessert-and-coffee, wine tasting, garden party, general get-together?). Offering simple refreshments is fine!
- Send out invitations to potential guests
- Very important: Follow up with the invited guests with a phone call to confirm attendance or answer questions
- Have fun!
