Tele-Town-Hall about BPA Wednesday night
RSVP by TONIGHT to join a conversation with Oregon's Speaker of the House Dave Hunt and Oregon State Senator Chris Edwards about protecting our children from the toxic chemical Bisphenol A (BPA).
When: This Wednesday (Feb. 10) at 7 p.m.
Right now, our legislators are considering Senate Bill 1032, which would ban the toxic chemical BPA from baby bottles and children’s food containers sold in Oregon. The federal government is concerned about the potential effects of BPA on the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and young children. Recent studies have reported subtle negative effects of low doses of BPA. Passing this ban would make Oregon a national leader in protecting children from toxic chemicals.
To participate: RSVP by TONIGHT to OLCV Political Director Katy Daily with your phone number. We will call you on Wednesday night and patch you into the Town Hall. You will then have the opportunity to participate and ask questions. The conversation will be moderated by OLCV Executive Director Jon Isaacs.
We hope you can take advantage of this opportunity to talk with two of your elected leaders about protecting Oregon's children--and grandchildren--from the harmful effects of toxic chemicals.
Remember, this is tomorrow! RSVP by TONIGHT with your phone number soon.
I vote for pro-environmental candidates because we can’t afford to sacrifice long-term stewardship for short-term gains.
