Six ways to help the environment win in November
OLCV has made more than 100 endorsements in this year's election, and is focusing on key races around the state to make sure that environmental disasters like Chris Dudley don't happen in Oregon.
This election is about more than just filling out your ballot.
With so much at stake across our beautiful state, every vote counts. We're making sure we talk to as many voters as possible about voting for the environment from the top to the bottom of the ballot in November. Here's how you can help:
- Take OLCV's Pledge to Volunteer. The commitment is so small—just one volunteer shift between now and Election Day. That’s about three hours of your time to have a meaningful impact on Oregon’s environmental legacy. .
- Sign up for one of our "Enviro Calls for Kitz" nights, when hundreds of volunteers all over the state will be calling pro-environment voters about the opportunity to elect an environmental champion to Oregon’s top post.
- Help elect pro-environment lawmakers around the state. Like our Kitzhaber phonebanks, these are also coordinated statewide events when volunteers will be calling through entire districts in a single night!
- Get involved in a local race near you. From helping elect (and re-elect) Oregon legislators around the state (like Brent Barton, Chuck Riley and Judy Stiegler), to electing Bob Stacey as the next Metro President, and more, we've got ways for you to plug in.
- Check your voter registration. You can do it online. Have you moved since you last voted? Visit the Oregon Secretary of State's website to register to vote for the first time or to check or update your registration information.Don't delay! The deadline is Oct. 12.

Protection of remaining intact wilderness for its intrinsic value to all living inhabitants is as noble and worthy a goal as any development could possibly be. That's why we support organizations such as OLCV and our political representatives who work hard to protect Oregon's natural legacy.
