Remember that slogan: Think globally, act locally?
April 14, 2010
The Lincoln County Steering Committee is looking for a few good people…
We are looking for community activists, or people who would like to become community activists, interested in protecting our air, water and beautiful coastline in Lincoln County.
Your role?
Help to engage citizens and elected officials on crucial environmental issues such as: local effects of global warming, alternative modes of transportation, keeping the Coast a great place to live, working locally to protect what's important to us and future generations.
How?
- Educatie citizens and local officials on what's important to our families, clean air, safe drinking water and supporting our local economy.
- Meet, interview and make endorsement recommendations for candidates
- Track votes in Newport or another city in Lincoln County for a 2010 Environmental Scorecard
To find out more information contact Tresa Horney, tresa@olcv.org or 503-224-4011.
I vote for pro-environmental candidates because we can’t afford to sacrifice long-term stewardship for short-term gains.
