Marion County Romance: Love Oregon on Valentine's Day
Join us for wine, cheese, chocolate and solar power
Watch the classroom classic Our Mr. Sun, enjoy local wines, cheeses and chocolates, learn more about the opportunities for solar power in Oregon AND help raise funds to help elect pro-environment candidates in Marion County in this year's elections.
Don't miss the special screening of Frank Capra's 1956 classroom classic Our Mr. Sun, a portentous film about America's need for renewable energy.
Keynote speaker Ryan Lambert, VP of government relations at Solar Nation, Inc., will discuss the future of solar power in Oregon.
Lambert is founder and Vice President of Government Relations of Solar Nation, Inc., a member of the Utah State Bar, the Legislative Subcommittee for the Oregon Solar Energy Industry Association (OSEIA) and a founding member of ReNew, Inc.
When: 4-7 PM, February 14, 2010
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church 5090 Center St. NE Salem
We'll provide wine from local vineyards, fine cheeses and homemade chocolates.
The event is free but this is a fundraiser. So bring your checkbook and your will to give. There's no better way to show your love for Oregon! ♥
Protection of remaining intact wilderness for its intrinsic value to all living inhabitants is as noble and worthy a goal as any development could possibly be. That's why we support organizations such as OLCV and our political representatives who work hard to protect Oregon's natural legacy.
