Groups revisit chemical ban in products for children

The Salem Statesman Journal Environmental groups are targeting three issues for the special legislative session that starts Monday.
One of the goals includes a second push to ban the chemical Bisphenol A in children's products. The FDA recently raised concerns about the chemical's potential effects on brain, behavior and prostate gland development in fetuses, infants and young children and is working with manufacturers to reduce its use.
