Election 2010: Oregon's environment is at stake
Take the Pledge!
Make sure the environment wins in November.
It's a critical election year for Oregon, and the environment is at stake--our air and water, our farms and forests, our wildlife habitat and recreation areas-- from the very top to the very bottom of the ballot.
That's why OLCV is asking you to pledge to sign up for one volunteer shift (which equals about three hours) between now and November 2.
Please take a moment to add your name to the list of Oregonians who are committed to electing leaders who will fight climate change, promote clean energy, develop more transportation options and more livable communities, and protect our water and air to keep our families healthy.
Oregon's environment is at stake.
At the top of the ballot, we've got the chance to elect a true environmental champion: John Kitzhaber as Oregon's next governor. At the very bottom of the ballot, we've got Measure 76--Voting Yes is voting for continuing much needed stable funding for Oregon's water, parks and wildlife.
And there's a lot in between, with the opportunity to elect --and re-elect-- strong leaders at all levels of government. OLCV has endorsed more than 100 candidates for the November election. We need your help to make sure the environment wins.

Protection of remaining intact wilderness for its intrinsic value to all living inhabitants is as noble and worthy a goal as any development could possibly be. That's why we support organizations such as OLCV and our political representatives who work hard to protect Oregon's natural legacy.
