Early primary results highlight OLCV candidates
Tuesday, May 18, 10:21 p.m.
With less than half the precincts counted in most counties, many races have already been called by The Oregonian and various TV news outlets.
OLCV is pleased to see so many of our endorsed candidates coming out ahead. Here are some highlights:
- Ted Wheeler has won the Democratic primary for Oregon State Treasurer.
- Bob Stacey appears to be headed to the general election runoff for Metro President. Read OLCV executive director Jon Isaacs' statement--just released--about the results of this race.
- In Multnomah County, Jeff Cogen wins for chair and Karol Collymore is headed to the runoff. Dan Saltzman has won another term on the Portland City Council, apparently escaping a runoff.
- In Eugene, Jerry Rust is leading for the West Eugene seat on the Lane County Commission.
