The Deschutes Co chapter of OLCV invites you to their new and improved BBQ and Barn Dance event.
BEND - The Deschutes County OLCV chapter is excited to present an afternoon of fun, food and family at our new and improved BBQ and Barn Dance event. The event will focus on everything local, featuring food from local growers and businesses, as well as a silent auction full of items from sustainable businesses in the region.
The event will occur Sunday, September 11th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hollinshead Barn in Bend.
“Our annual Barn Dance has been a lot of fun to put together. We have received great support from businesses in the community and we are really trying to promote these local, sustainable businesses. They are the ones creating jobs and keeping Central Oregon a great place to live.” Rachael Marble, Co-Chair of the Deschutes County OLCV steering committee.
Event attendees can enjoy local BBQ including pulled pork from LaPine’s Geno's Smokin Bones BBQ, baked spuds, refreshments, and more. The event will also feature dancing and live bluegrass from the band "Bushwackers.”
OLCV will also be hosting a silent auction featuring a large assortment of items perfect for the family, for gifts, or just for fun. Some of the items up for auction are kayak lessons from Tumalo Creek Canoe and Kayak, a tour from Wanderlust, a photography sitting with John Dotson, as well as a beautiful handcrafted compost bin from Celebrate the Season, and more!
“We're excited to invite our neighbors and friends in Bend join us for our annual Barn Dance. It will be a fun afternoon and allows us to share the work we're doing locally with the OLCV on behalf of the environment.” Nathan Boddie, Co-Chair of the Deschutes County OLCV steering committee.
