Portland Business Journal Environmentalists and businesses are gearing up for a key state hearing on the use of plastic bags by grocers and other merchants.A hearing on Senate Bill 536, before the Senate’s Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, takes place in Salem at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The bill has the support of myriad green groups, including Audubon Society of Portland, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters and Willamette Riverkeepers....
