Portland, OR: Well-known canine-about-town Porkchop (SE Portland) has endorsed Sam for OLCV Watchdog.

Having failed to turn in his own signatures in time to enter the race, Porkchop considered running as a write-in candidate, but realized he could do more good (with less effort) by supporting Sam’s candidacy. His endorsement is expected to help Sam immensely with the critical Black Lab lobby.

“Tham ith a true friend of the environment,” Porkchop said in his trademark lisp, stressing that Sam shares his love of natural things like the woods, rivers, beaches, compost piles, and food.

OLCV could find no better watchdog, he continued, “exthept of courth for mythelf.”

Squashing rumors that Sam offered Porkchop a treat in exchange for his endorsement, Porkchop said, “Ridiculouth! Tham would never give anyone elth a treat. That’s a vithouth rumor.”

However, inside sources suggest that Sam has pledged to help Porkchop retain his current position as the OLCV office’s “Microwave Assistant” if he is elected.
