OLCV e-bulletin: 2008 to lead us to an even greener 2009?

Document Actions
January 10, 2008 OLCV e-bulletin Edition 1

Keep your eye on the prize

OLCV endorsement
This spring look for OLCV's Seal of Approval. It's a great way to find out who's earned our endorsement and identify true supporters of the environment.

Last year, our Legislators and Governor enacted sweeping safeguards that will improve the lives of Oregon families for generations.

We're hopeful that the 2007 session was just a sign of things to come. In January and February we'll be busy interviewing candidates as part of our endorsement process. Look for some early endorsements in the next edition, and the full slate by the end of March.

In the meantime, find out who's earned the OLCV endorsement in prior years here.

As an E-bulletin subscriber you have an opportunity to share your ideas for environmental change with your peers.

Family share

It's not only fun to read about the experiences of others, it's helpful too. Whether you know of a great place to hike, live in a city that is greening up its act, know of five simple things you can do to make your life a little greener or just have a photo of Oregon's natural beauty: when you share your interests and experiences, we can all learn something new.

So why not share what you know? We'd like to invite you to submit material for publishing consideration in one of our future editions or our blog.  Email your essays, stories or photographs to Tresa Horney, OLCV E-bulletin editor.

Does your dog have what it takes?

We've received some great submissions for OLCV's next top dog. But it's still anybody's game.

As you know, for over 30 years, OLCV has been recognized as a strong leader and effective watchdog for the environment. We monitor your elected officials and how they're voting on the environmental issues so we can keep you informed on the issues you care about.

OLCV's next top dog

If you know a dog that has what it takes to be the face of OLCV's watchdog work, then send us their photo.

Email us a photo of your photogenic, four-legged, furry friend with a brief essay of why you think your dog is more than just another pretty face (50 words max).

Email your photo and essay to Tresa by January 29 to be considered.
