There’s still time to give
to help OLCV pass
M49!
|
$1186 raised so far
- just $314 left to go to meet our goal of $1,500! Thanks to all of you who have given in the
last week!
Ballots have been
mailed out and we've entered the most critical time for us to get the message
out about what's at stake, and encourage voters to pass Measure
49!
Because this issue is so important, we're working overtime to talk to
as many people as possible about Measure 49 and let them know how important
their vote is. Talking to voters is crucial in our efforts to pass Measure
49. We need your
support to help us get out the Yes vote. Please take a moment now to make a contribution of $35, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford
to OLCV PAC on our secure server.
OLCV has a proven
history of effectively turning out voters in important elections. Just last
year, in the 2006 elections, we talked with over 80,000 voters which helped win
several close elections.
Since this is an off-year election, turnout will
be lower than normal. We must work harder to get in the votes we need. We will
continue to put in long hours and enlist our dedicated volunteers to do this
essential outreach, but we need the support of concerned Oregonians like you to
help OLCV function during this time.
Please
give what you can. Or send a check to the address at left.
Thank
you!

By Jonathan
Poisner, OLCV's Executive Director:
In August, I had the
good fortune to visit my favorite place in Oregon – the Eagle Cap Wilderness in
the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.

Can you name
the lake in the center of this picture?
The first person who answers that correctly by emailing
me (those on the trip with me are not eligible!) will be
celebrated for their geographic prowess in the next E-Bulletin.
Rather than
wax poetic about the extraordinary beauty of that particular corner of Oregon,
I’ll let my full
slide show speak for itself.
