Linda Brodeur

Linda formerly worked as a zoo keeper with the National Zoological Park, became a middle school teacher and ended up in high school teaching math and science. She currently works as a contract forestry educator with the Oregon Women in Timber's, Talk About Trees program for Lincoln and part of Benton County. She loves spending times outdoors as an avid hiker and wildlife enthusiast.



Ellen Christian

Ellen is a registerd nurse who grew up in Texas and followed her passion for hiking to the Oregon coast 2-1/2 years ago. While in Texas, she was an active member of the Sierra Club. She has taken eco-tours to New Zealand, Costa Rica and most recently to Puerto Rico to volunteer for various conservation missions. Now a resident of Lincoln City, she raises two teenage sons, runs 8 miles a day, serves as Vice President of the local Kiwanis Club and appears in about two plays a year at Theatre West, the local community theater.

Jay Fineman
Jay was born in LA and received his BA from UCLA. He married Ann from Stockholm, who he met in Paris. He has his MA in Philosophy and a VMD in Vetmed Unniversity of Pennsylvania. Jay's been a much loved local veterinarian in Newport, OR since 1979. His oldest son, Jonas, is commercial fisherman and his younger son, Lars, is a college senior. They inherited their love for surfing from their father. Jay recently sold his practice and looks forward to surfing more.



Dawn Grafe

Dawn lives in Toledo with her husband Doug where they run a chicken/egg cooperative called Lucky Cluck Farm. Dawn's education background is in wildlife biology with an emphasis in ornithology. Protecting the ecology of the coastal environment for the benefit of wildlife and people is her passion.



Nyla Jebousek

Nyla's been an attorney since 1998, worked as a student in the environmental law clinic at the Western Environmental Law Center in Eugene, and she earned certificates in Ocean and Coastal Law, and Environmental Law. After law school, Nyla served 2 terms as an Americorps attorney representing women in domestic violence and sexual assault cases in civil court proceedings. She is a great singer, percussionist and songwriter. When she's not advocating for the environment she'd rather be playing.....;-)



Bruce McCain



Guy Nelson

Guy and Linda live in Lincoln City, OR and are blessed with two children and four grandchildren who live in the great Pacific Northwest. He enjoys reading and jogging on the beach, though not at the same time.

He's the Executive Director of the Utility Geothermal Working Group. A graduate in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University, he has over 30 years of experience in all phases of the electric utility industry, including resource planning, power plant operations, transmission and distribution maintenance, billing, rates, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and public participation.
