Sustainable Seafood Bake (previously the Salmon & Tuna Bake) & Silent Auction
June 29, 2008
Over the last 5 years, more than 500 people have supported OLCV and delighted in Cafe Mundo Chef Laurie Card's cooking as they enjoyed local music and treated themselves to goods and services from local merchants and artists.
This year we expect the party to be even bigger and better! For those who aren't familiar with Café Mundo, Laurie’s dinners are totally organic, locally sourced whenever possible and include salad and dessert courses as well as dinner.
Have Your Fish and Eat It Too -
Unfortunately, as many of you know, the fishing industry is undergoing some very hard times. The future of fishing is uncertain and many changes to fishing practices can be expected. As a result, to create more awareness around the need for sustainable fishing and to help folks understand it's easy and fun to eat sustainably; we've decided to rename our event the Sustainable Seafood Bake.

Eat out for the Earth on Earth Day
April 22, 2008
The Lincoln County Chapter of the Oregon League of Conservation Voters would like to thank our friends at the local eateries for their great support as participants of this year’s Eat Out for the Earth event on Earth Day, April 22.
We would like to thank the following restaurants: Café Mundo, Cafe Stephanie, Canyon Way, The Chowder Bowl, The Drift Inn, Fishtails Café, Hilltop Inn, La Maison, Local Ocean, Kernville Steakhouse, Ki West, Oceana Natural Foods Cooperative, Otis Café, Panache, The Sandbar Restaurant and Grill, Side Door Café and Wake-Up Espresso.
Their participation and support allows us to share good meals with friends while raising money for our local work to protect the coast: educating voters about pro-environment candidates, helping these pro-environment candidates get elected and doing our best to make sure our current elected officials are responsibly protecting our water, air and natural resources with their votes in city council, county commission and our state legislature for our future generations.
Print out OLCV's Participation Cards for you and all your friends and leave it with your server's tip after you pay the bill.
By doing so you can show them that you support their efforts to keep the Oregon Coast healthy and beautiful and their support makes a difference!
