We need you to join us for Oregon Conservation Network’s Lobby Day 2017
As Oregonians, we value transparency and connectedness with local political officials. A lobby day is the perfect opportunity to get involved. By signing up, you’ll be joining the environmental community as a whole for The Clean Green Lobby Machine 2017!
On November 9th, many of us began asking ourselves how we could get more involved and make sure our values are being prioritized in politics. That resolution you felt on November 9th should be a force for good – I’m hoping you will join us on Thursday, March 23rd.
We had over 220 people attend last year’s lobby day. This year, with threats to the EPA at the national level and the Elliott State Forest at the local level, it’s more important than ever that we show up to hold our elected leaders accountable. We have to ensure Oregon is taking the lead on fighting climate change and protecting our natural legacy.
This is a day when we have the opportunity to make an incredibly powerful statement for our environment.
Our Clean Green Lobby Machine is a series of interconnecting parts working together to accomplish a goal. You are the crucial part of the lobbying process we need in order to be effective.
You’ll learn the ropes of the legislative process, hear about the politics, and rally on the Capitol steps. Then, you’ll lobby your own legislators on the 2017 Priorities for a Healthy Oregon.
When: Thursday, March 23rd, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Oregon State Capitol (more info on a nearby morning training location coming soon)
We hope you will join us.
