I counted 8 ( I trust the wildlife pros on this, though), but very cool nonetheless. Makes me reminisce fondly of the few weeks I've spent out there.
Just knowing that this wildness is still out there -- restless, focused, hungry, sated, tired, playful,,,many things but most of all just plain FREE -- made my heart skip a beat. Awesome.
Wallowa County is a rad place and I was lucky to spend some time there this summer. Maybe next time I will be lucky enough to see these residents. Amazing place and an amazing story.
