House Passes OCN Priority TriMet/Lane Transit Funding Bill, 32-28
by: Evan Manvel | May 27, 2009 - 11:32
Moments ago, the Oregon House voted 32-28 to pass Senate Bill 34A, an OCN priority bill that will allow TriMet and Lane Transit District to raise funding to keep up with increasing demand for transit.
Oregonians desperately need transportation choices, especially those one million Oregonians who are too young, old, poor or infirm to drive. This bill helps provide those choices.
It is the second OCN Priority bill to head to the Governor's desk to be signed into law.
