Meeky Blizzard*

Meeky has been involved in environmental, land use, and transportation issues since 1989, when she spearheaded the successful opposition to the Western Bypass Freeway and the promotion of better development patterns for Washington County. She now serves as Advisor for Livable Communities to Congressman Earl Blumenauer.




Charlie Burr*

Charlie comes to OLCV from Edelman, the world’s largest independent public relations firm. At Edelman, Burr manages public involvement for Oregon Bridge Delivery Partners, a major statewide infrastructure client.

Prior to working with Edelman, Burr served as spokesperson for Gov. Ted Kulongoski. He helped promote the governor’s clean energy agenda & sustainable economic development efforts. Burr has also managed numerous political campaigns, including a targeted state senate victory in 2002 that resulted in a pro-environment majority in the Oregon Senate. In 2004, Burr was an architect of a successful effort to defeat a tort reform measure amending Oregon’s Constitution. He was especially proud to earn OLCV’s “Volunteer of the Year” award in 2001 for his county organizing work.

Burr lives in northeast Portland with his wife Libby Upham and daughter, Marigny McCall Burr. His dog Eads has served as mascot for many local grass roots campaign, but currently is known for his singular ability to produce his own body weight in saliva every 38.2 hours.




Lindsey Capps*

Lindsey works as Legislative Affairs Director for the Oregon Environmental Council.



Nicole Cordan

Nicole is the Policy and Legal Director for the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition.



Chris Dearth
*
Chris has had a wide-ranging career, having served as a staff member for the California State Legislature, worked in economic development finance in Boston and Portland, directed a sustainable development project in Western Sudan, served as legislative director and environmental advisor to Governor Kitzhaber, and consulted for a national public finance firm. 
Chris is now in charge of managing Measure 37 for the City of Portland.  For fun Chris likes to climb, backpack, kayak, cycle, raft, ski, travel and coach his daughter's sports teams. He has degrees from the University of California and the Yale School of Management.





Walt Gorman*
Walt Gorman is a retired high tech engineer who has been active in Washington County politics for years. Before joining the board, Walt was a member of our Washington County Steering Committee.





Norma Grier
Norma Grier is the executive director of the Northwest Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides, a regional, grassroots organization that works to protect people and the environment by advancing healthy solutions to pest problems.



Robin Hartmann*
Robin Hartman is a consultant with expertise in project management, communication and government affairs as they relate to natural resources management. Robin serves as the Ocean Program Director for Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition and has represented Oregon Shores in Salem for the past four legislative sessions. She was appointed by the governor to Oregon's Ocean Policy Advisory Council.

Robin lives in Roseburg where she served as Executive Director of The North Umpqua Foundation, a native fish and river advocacy organization, for eight years.  Prior to that she directed the Umpqua Land Exchange Project, served as natural resources legislative assistant to an Idaho congressman, and communications program director for a trade association of western timber companies.



Fred Heutte*

Fred Heutte is a database and voter file consultant who works with environmental organizations in several states to enhance their data lists and improve communications with their memberships. He also has a background in conservation and solar energy policy, and has been active writing and supporting bills in every session of the Oregon Legislature since 1981.



Stephen Kafoury*
Stephen Kafoury is a lobbyist representing, among others, the Oregon Chapters of The Wildlife Society, which is a professional society of biologists. He served in the Oregon House of Representatives and Oregon Senate in the 1970s, earning a 100% voting record on the environment all four sessions.

ric Lemelson*
Eric is founder of Lemelson Vineyards, which produces some of world's finest Pinot Noir. An Oregonian since the late 1970s, Lemelson's first career was not as a farmer, but as an environmental lawyer with a strong commitment to "green" principles.




Doug Myers*

Doug serves as a state agency coordination and legislative liaison for the Association of Oregon Recyclers, the Fair and Clean Energy Coalition (represents environmental, renewable energy, and low-income interest groups in energy deregulation), Klamath Tribes, Trout Unlimited, and WaterWatch.




Scott Pratt

Scott Pratt is an attorney in private practice.



Mary Scurlock

Mary Scurlock is Senior Policy Analyst for the Pacific Rivers Council.



Stephanie Wagner
Stephanie serves as Executive Director of Friends of Tryon Creek.
