Steve Springer

Marion County Steering Committee

Steve was born and raised in Massachusetts where he first became interested in conservation issues, especially in relation to forests and land use.

Later Steve moved to Vermont where he taught in public and private high schools for 40 years. During his time in Randolph, Vermont, Steve was active as chair of the Conservation Commission, the Randolph Forest Committee and Water 1st!, an ad hoc politically active association committed to ground and surface water protection statewide.

His experience makes him no stranger to addressing local and legislative committees on behalf of conservation issues. He currently lives with his wife Barbara in Silverton.
