Gus Frederick
Marion County native Gus Frederick lives in Silverton, and has been a
life-long conservationist and political activist. He has served on
Silverton City Council as well as the Governor's Telecommunications Task
Force in the early 1990s.
Some of Frederick's many other activities include spending time with his
24-year-old daughter Genevieve, collecting and listening to
78rpm records, puttering around in the great Oregon outdoors (especially along a certain 7.5 acre stretch of the Abiqua Creek),
reading and writing science fiction.
By profession, he is an Instructional Technologist, working for the
State of Oregon in staff development.
Protection of remaining intact wilderness for its intrinsic value to all living inhabitants is as noble and worthy a goal as any development could possibly be. That's why we support organizations such as OLCV and our political representatives who work hard to protect Oregon's natural legacy.
