Amanda Deyerle
After growing up in California, Montana and Alabama, Amanda spent her high school years in Salem, Oregon and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences form Western Oregon University in 2003 and a Masters in Public Administration from Portland State University in 2006. Thanks to two excellent high school teachers, Amanda was instilled with a great appreciation for the environment and the responsibility we have to protect it. She became active in environmental protection in high scool as a volunteer in the annual SOLV beach clean-up and she's continued to look for other ways to make a difference since then.
Protection of remaining intact wilderness for its intrinsic value to all living inhabitants is as noble and worthy a goal as any development could possibly be. That's why we support organizations such as OLCV and our political representatives who work hard to protect Oregon's natural legacy.
